Side Effect

Enter the Tactical Arena of Side Effect

Side Effect combines elements of a tactical roguelike with the strategic depth of chess, all while harnessing the chaos of magical spells. Players must master the synergy of positioning and spellcasting to dominate the board. Choose an elemental school and prepare for battle; the mechanics here make every move matter. Will you outsmart the AI or find yourself ensnared in its traps?

Master the Art of Spellcasting with Pawns

What sets Side Effect apart are its unique mechanics that allow players to channel spells through their pawns. Each pawn not only represents a piece on the board but also serves as a conduit for various spell effects. Carefully select your pawns to maximize your strategic options, as their elemental affinities can drastically alter the outcome of spells. Positioning is crucial; the right placement of your pieces can turn the tide in the heat of battle.
