Capital ship tactics

SALVO is a real-time tactical combat simulator set in a hard sci-fi solar system, where you command capital ships in battles without shields or faster-than-light travel. You position units to bring their weapons to bear, target enemy subsystems, and time abilities as fights unfold at speed.

Combat centers on maneuvering and weapons rather than protective shields. You can use high-explosive barrages to tear into hulls or armor-piercing warheads against armored defenses. Electronic countermeasures complicate targeting, so you choose when and where to launch, and adjust your attacks for angle and timing.
