ABOUT THIS GAME
Unravel Cosmic Mysteries in Ritual Disorder
In Ritual Disorder, a thrilling social deduction game available on PC, players enter a world steeped in cosmic horror and deception. Gather around a pentagram in an ancient castle, where a circle of cultists engages in dark rituals to access forbidden knowledge. But beware—the presence of a traitor among you threatens to derail everything. Can the cultists complete the rituals in time while identifying the imposter?
Perform Dark Rituals with Your Circle
Rituals form the heart of the game, as players work together to uncover secret schemas that dictate which arcane objects belong on each node of the pentagram. Your notebook provides only a fragment of this information, while the traitor has access to the entire picture. Successfully gathering objects and placing them correctly before the timer expires is essential; even a single mistake can lead to disastrous consequences.
Consequences of Failure: The Price of Blood
Failure to perform rituals comes with severe consequences. When a ritual fails, the circle must vote on who will be sacrificed to appease the dark forces. Players openly point at their chosen target, introducing a tense dynamic as accusations fly and alliances form. Completing three rituals secures victory for the cult, while failing three means darkness triumphs. The twist? Identifying and sacrificing the traitor can end the match early, adding an extra layer of strategy.
Disrupt and Sabotage as the Traitor
The traitor's role is just as crucial as that of the loyal cultists. With no weapons or lethal actions, the traitor must rely on cunning and deception to sabotage the rituals. They can hex objects to create distractions, misplace items, or lie convincingly during discussions. To win, the traitor must cleverly manipulate their fellow players while blending in, making every decision count in this psychological battleground.
Voice Communication: Whisper Among Shadows
Built-in proximity voice chat adds a layer of depth to player interactions. Players can step aside to whisper, perfect for discreetly plotting against the cult or plotting your next move. The game's unique wheel of 12 phrases allows for robust communication without microphones, ensuring that every accusation feels intimate and direct. Watch out—ghosts of the recently sacrificed wander the castle, offering secret insights that only amplify the existing tension as the living and dead converse.
Play with Friends or Compete Online
Ritual Disorder accommodates 2 to 8 players, either through Steam or LAN connections. The game thrives on dynamic player interactions, meaning each session can unfold dramatically differently based on the group’s strategies and bluffs. To fully engage with the complexity of the social deduction genre, it’s recommended to have at least three players to ensure a rich atmosphere of uncertainty and excitement.
Join the Cult of Deception
As you navigate the eerie hallways of the ancient castle and channel your inner cultist, Ritual Disorder presents an engaging twist on classic social deduction mechanics. Will you work together to harness forbidden powers, or will betrayal lead to your downfall? The stakes are high, and every choice carries weight—are you ready to uncover the truth?
