Village strategy

Pitchfork Math is a PC strategy game about leading a small Polish village through a monster-haunted war. You choose how many peasants to send into each battle: Boruta’s contract pays more when fewer heads come back, but sending too few can break morale. You place your party before combat, which then plays out on its own, with a few order cards available for intervention.

Battles and the village

Between expeditions, build cottages, a smithy, a tavern, a mill and a watchtower. Volunteers arrive every Monday. You can arrange marriages and watch children grow up, then decide who goes to battle and who stays to farm or guard the village. Raiders can attack while your party is away, and losing the village ends the game. The next village hears what happened.
