Ourself

Game premise and mechanics

Ourself is a cooperative game for two players on PC where you share one body after an evil sorcerer swaps your souls. One player controls the left side while the other controls the right, leading to unique gameplay dynamics. Your goal is to work together to navigate obstacles and find a way to reclaim your original bodies.

Movement and cooperation

You face challenges that require coordination to overcome. Actions such as climbing, hauling, and jumping must be synchronized; if you pull in different directions, the character will shuffle in place and fail to progress. Communication is important, as timing your movements, like jumping on a count, can determine success or failure in various tasks, such as reaching higher platforms or avoiding falls.
