Building a hacking rig

Nodes is a PC automation game about breaking into computer systems by engineering a machine, not typing commands. You place hardware on a node canvas and connect outputs to inputs, building a rig that can beat a target’s defenses in bandwidth, compute and obfuscation.

A breach starts when your setup clears the target’s defenses. How quickly it completes depends on the spare capacity you’ve built into the rig. The terminal reports each step, from opening a port to delivering a payload and gaining root access.
