However, disaster strikes as a contagious outbreak transforms innocent Mushlooms into violent beasts known as Monslooms. To save this world from further chaos, players must navigate both the battlefield and the puzzles that await.

Combat in Monslooms unfolds in a captivating chess-inspired battle system, where each party member corresponds to one of the six chess piece types.
