Mexico 1920-1940: Heirs of the Revolution

A presidency shaped by history

Mexico 1920-1940: Heirs of the Revolution is a turn-based narrative political simulator for PC. You govern Mexico from the presidency, making decisions one quarter at a time between 1920 and 1940. Presidents change, but the office remains. You can also begin earlier, at the point where Emiliano Zapata fell at Chinameca.

The game follows events including the de la Huerta rebellion, the Cristero War, the Maximato, the Great Depression and the oil expropriation. Its alternate histories let Zapata survive and reach the presidency, put Villa in office, or give Vasconcelos a victory in 1929. Other possibilities include Obregón holding on to power and a radical Cárdenas collectivizing the country and moving closer to Moscow.
