Llama 97 OS

A virtual desktop on PC

Llama 97 OS is a retro-styled virtual desktop for PC, built around productivity tools and social features rather than a conventional game world. You customize its desktop with a drag-and-drop icon grid, then pick a folder to use as its documents file system. It’s built with SolidJS instead of React and doesn’t use a heavy game engine, so it’s designed to run alongside other games without affecting their performance.

Apps and files

The desktop includes a Markdown notepad with live saving, AstroCode, a code editor with optional auto-saving, and calendar and reminder tools. There’s also a calculator and a timer. Paint takes inspiration from MS Paint, while the music player can play tracks from eLlama or music files stored locally.
