Just Hearts

Four-player Hearts

Just Hearts is a PC card game built around four-player Hearts, played offline against three computer opponents. You pass cards, follow suit and try to finish with the lowest score. The two of clubs opens play, and a hand ends with the points from its tricks added to each player’s score.

Passing and penalty points

Before most hands, choose three cards to send left, right or across. Every fourth hand, you keep the cards you were dealt. Each heart is worth one point, while the queen of spades is worth thirteen. You can avoid those penalty cards, or take all 26 points in a hand to shoot the moon: you score zero and each opponent gets 26.
