Card-throwing roguelike

Jester’s Anger is a first-person roguelike for PC where your deck is your weapon. After The Hands steal the Jester’s cake, you fight chess-piece enemies across an arena, throwing cards from a 20-card deck. Move across the board with slides and rocket jumps, and build a deck that can take on The Hands.

Throwing your deck

A single throw flicks the top card, whose effect depends on its type. Playing-card suits pierce, drain life, explode or stun. Jester cards change the arena or your movement: they can make the floor increase damage, slow enemies, or speed you up. Other cards stick explosives to targets, bounce off walls or swap your position with a chess piece. Tarot cards cast spells, from lightning strikes to freezing enemies or killing them outright.
