Jakin Boaz

Exorcism in pen and paper

Jakin Boaz is a hand-drawn game about Humberto, a man in Pontevedra who builds a devil from wire and bandages while facing eviction and debt. You manage the days he spends making it, balancing sleep, food, and inspiration.

Humberto’s days

Honey, the radio, tobacco, and the I Ching mark time as Humberto works. Once the devil is finished, he goes out into the old town, including Calle de la Amargura, the Bar Alma, and Calle Real. On 11 August, a solar eclipse changes the city Humberto thinks he sees and the one beneath his feet.
