It Could Have Been Me

A Journey of Hope in It Could Have Been Me

It Could Have Been Me offers a poignant glimpse into the lives of unaccompanied youths navigating perilous journeys in search of hope. This VR experience, available on PC, invites players to step into the shoes of those from Afghanistan who risk everything for a better future. With documentary stories woven from real experiences, the game touches on themes of resilience and determination.

Captivating Narrative Built on Real Stories

The heart of this game lies in its narrative, which is derived from 26 documentary stories told by unaccompanied youths. Players engage with these narratives through a series of surreal environments, such as the mountains and train stations, that mirror the actual challenges faced during their odyssey. Each story seeks to evoke empathy, helping players to understand the emotional weight of these journeys while reflecting on broader themes of displacement.
