ABOUT THIS GAME
Side-scrolling shoot-em-up
Icarus is an early-development PC shoot-em-up, presented as a playable test-level demo and a homage to 16-bit and 32-bit classics. You pilot a ship through a side-scrolling level, firing at alien and other targets. The level also pans vertically, with parallax scrolling and bosses during and at the end of the stage.
Weapons and movement
Fire shots and missiles, launch bombs, or charge a beam. You can collect weapons and power-ups, and drones help in the fight. Set the ship’s speed to one of five levels as you move through tighter sections or try to escape danger. A limited, refillable reverse-scroll charge lets you backtrack for a missed collectible.
