Her Story

A Crime Narrative Untangled in Her Story

In Her Story, players encounter an innovative take on the crime fiction genre. Developed by Sam Barlow, this award-winning game replaces traditional gameplay mechanics with a captivating experience based in a police database filled with live-action video footage. As players navigate this intricate narrative, they must piece together the mysterious disappearance of a woman's husband through spatially arranged interviews. It's a journey of deduction and discovery, engrossing anyone who steps into its world.

Unearthing Clues through Interactive Video

Set in the mid-1990s, the game revolves around multiple interviews with a British woman whose husband is missing. Players are tasked with sifting through clips from seven interviews to uncover the truth. The only interface available is a dated desktop computer that allows searches based on keywords. This interactive video approach immerses players in the investigation, encouraging them to think critically about what they see and hear.
