Headquarters: Cold War

Commanders Clash in the Cold War Landscape

Headquarters: Cold War thrusts players into a turn-based strategy environment that recreates a tense hypothetical standoff between NATO and the USSR in 1984. With the fate of nations hanging in the balance, players choose their allegiances, commanding detailed units through two expansive campaigns that weave a rich narrative. The game demands tactical acumen, granting access to powerful Headquarters skills and hero assignments to turn the tides of war.

Strategic Decision-Making on Diverse Battlefields

As you engage in battles, every decision counts. The combat system promotes a "hard to master" philosophy where understanding unit positioning and terrain advantages is vital. Each unit is intricately modeled with distinct armor configurations, making the front, side, and back susceptibility crucial. Add in destructible environments and high ground advantages, and the landscapes become complex chessboards, where careful reconnaissance and clever execution can shift your fortunes dramatically.
