Game premise and objectives

Hall Pass is a pixel-art co-op survival horror game for one to four players set in a deserted school filled with sentient moss. Players wake up in a dark building and must navigate through its various rooms to find a laboratory and an exit. The primary objective is to gather resources, manage threats, and escape before being captured by the stalker that hunts based on sound, sight, and movement through the moss.

Map layout and procedurally generated rooms

The game consists of around sixty rooms including classrooms, a cafeteria, a library, and bathrooms that create a shuffled, procedurally generated layout for each session. The layout reshapes itself between games, providing a different experience each time as players attempt to find the exit, which is always located on the far edge of the school.
