At the heart of the narrative lies SynTech’s groundbreaking creation, NexuGel, which melds flesh and machine into a seamless integration that promised evolution without waiting. However, with the rapid spread of augmentations came unintended consequences. Players encounter three distinct groups: Purists, who vehemently oppose technological interference; Disconnected individuals, whose augmentations have been brutally removed; and the rare Immunes, who escaped the grasp of the viral enhancement. Each faction has its own story, fears, and motivations that shape the overarching conflict.
