Express 404

Tension on Tracks in Express 404

In Express 404, players become the last line of defense against chaos as they navigate a night train through relentless storms. The game weaves elements of roguelite survival and paranoia, requiring quick thinking and sharp observation. As a train driver, you’re responsible not only for the safety of your passengers but also for uncovering the deadly mimic hidden among them. The stakes are high, and every decision could lead to order or disaster.

Surviving the Storm with Tight Mechanics

The gameplay revolves around managing the train's speed and your attention. Keeping the lever engaged propels you forward, but letting go means losing momentum in the midst of an unforgiving storm. Players must constantly assess their objectives while monitoring multiple metrics: maximum speed, acceleration, and distance to the next station. Failing to reach the quota before arrival could end your run, adding a layer of urgency to each ride.
