First-person survival horror

Distant is a first-person survival horror game for PC. You play Arthur Cooper, a former detective investigating a pattern of possibly related murders. After his family dies in a car accident and he develops a drinking problem, a mysterious object gives him coordinates to a remote place that may hold answers to the case. He travels there alone, through miles of forest.

Investigation and survival

You explore the area, solve puzzles to progress or find useful items, and look for old VHS cassette players that reveal what started the chain of horror. Resources help you through dangerous situations: you can find healing items or craft them to treat your wounds. You’ll also need to outrun impending death.
