Defect: A Game of Betrayal and Revenge

In Defect, players take on the role of a space captain stranded on a dead-end planet, navigating the treacherous waters of betrayal and revenge. Craft your ship, embark on missions, and brace yourself as your crew turns against you. This relentless cycle of defection requires sharp design choices, as you balance power with vulnerability in a universe full of treachery.

Build Your Ship with Unmatched Freedom

The game is defined by unprecedented freedom of creation. With over 180 components, players can design ships that range from agile fighters to colossal battle stations. The shipbuilding phase encourages creativity, allowing you to place, scale, and rotate components freely while adhering to the laws of physics. Choose your aesthetic from three distinctive visual styles: the industrial TriStage, futuristic SSN, or nostalgic 2255. Future styles will evolve based on community feedback.
