Damage Chess

HP-based chess

Damage Chess is a PC chess game that turns captures and exchanges into HP-based combat. Every piece has HP, Attack and Defense, and you take three actions per turn.

Combat and rules

Damage is randomized, so you have to weigh attacks against the possibility of a counterattack. You can brace for those counterattacks as you try to read your opponent’s moves. Castling, en passant and promotion are included.
