The Struggles of a 19th Century Seamstress

Daily Thread: The Sewing of Discontent offers players a poignant look at the gritty realities of the textile industry during the 19th century. Set in Manchester during a period marked by social upheaval, the game positions you as Henrietta, a seamstress navigating the challenges of a 14-hour workday while balancing the demands of family and societal change. This narrative-driven experience immerses players in a distinctive historical context where personal sacrifice and collective action intertwine.

Balancing Work and Family Life

The gameplay pivots around two central modes: during working hours, your primary goal is to meet intricate quota expectations. Time is a constant pressure, and players must rely on skillful management and precision to avoid penalties. After hours, you switch to a familial focus, where every financial decision weighs heavily on the well-being of your loved ones. Players must use limited resources to maintain health and happiness at home, creating a strategic tension that runs throughout the game.
