Contested Space: Core Defender

Pack-opening defense

Contested Space: Core Defender is a PC pack-opening defense game built around short runs and endless stages. At the start of each stage, you open booster packs and deploy what you pull around your Core. When the horde arrives, your stations fire and your ships defend the front while you aim a cannon at enemies that get through. A run ends when the Core falls.

Builds and progression

Each run’s pack pulls shape the defenses you can deploy, while earnings carry over as permanent upgrades. You can spend them on more packs per run, extra station slots, escort wings, cannon upgrades, and global boosts. New Cores have their own abilities, adding another option to permanent upgrades.
