Combat Mission Cold War

Cold War Tactics Come Alive in Combat Mission Cold War

Combat Mission Cold War thrusts players into the critical years of 1979-1982, where NATO forces and the Soviet Warsaw Pact engage in tactical warfare. It’s a chess match of strategy set against the backdrop of a historical conflict that threatened global stability. Players can explore numerous "what if" scenarios that could have emerged as East faced West at pivotal locations like the Fulda Gap in West Germany.

Multiple Campaigns Capture Historical What-ifs

In this tactical simulation, players don’t just command pieces on a board. You lead US and Soviet forces through three distinct campaigns. The NTC Campaign places you at the National Training Center just as US strategies began shifting from Vietnam doctrines. Alternatively, the US West German Campaign tasks you with halting a Soviet advance across meticulously recreated maps from the era, whether in 1979 or 1982, allowing for nuanced tactical decisions and comparisons.
