Claw & Keel is a PC pirate game in development about fitting out a ship, recruiting animal pirates and picking fights at sea. You choose a target and arrange your ship before battle, then watch the fight play out automatically. The game is being built toward a voyage structure, but planned features may change or not make the first release.

Ship layout and crew

Your ship has limited deck space, so choosing what to bring means weighing different approaches. You can fit quick-reloading guns, support a few accurate cannons, or reinforce the hull to last longer in a fight. Where you place each piece matters: supporting crew and equipment help nearby parts, so you check those links before seeing how the arrangement holds up in battle.
