Chess Gone Wild is a PC chess game that changes the standard board with new pieces, weapons, swapping rules, and game modes. You move pieces against an AI opponent, friends, or opponents found through random matchmaking in Steam lobbies. Standard chess clocks and premoves are supported.

New pieces and weapons

The Crusader, Super Pawn, and Shield Pawn add new options to the board. You fuse pieces to bring these allies into play: the Crusader stands guard with a sword, while the Shield Pawn holds the line with a shield. The game also lets you arm your king and queen. A queen can throw a golden boomerang across the board, and a king can fire a revolver. A king in check gets nervous and can’t aim steadily, while a recovered boomerang can be thrown again.
