Racing and the premise

CD-R Racing is a PC racing game set in a low-poly world inspired by 1990s PlayStation and Dreamcast games. You drive a 1995 Knee Sun GT-R and other cult cars, racing to win back a collection of stolen CD-R discs. Courses take you through locations including the Pacific Northwest, Bristol, Ibiza, Nevada and Jakarta.

Drifting and Phaze Shift

Races pair driving with rave music: the music’s BPM sets your car’s maximum speed, so faster tracks mean faster driving. Drift to fill your Mix Battery Meter, then trigger Phaze Shift to mix in the next song while you’re still on the course. Drive cleanly during the mix to claim the CD-R disc as the next tune drops.
