A fantasy blacksmith shop

Beards & Blades is a PC blacksmithing game where you make weapons and gear for animal heroes preparing to enter a dungeon. You work at the forge, shaping orders for customers such as frog knights, boar barbarians, nervous rookies and loud regulars.

Forging and customer orders

Each blade starts as a cold ingot. You pump the bellows to heat it, hammer it on the anvil, quench it in water and sharpen it at the grindstone. Shields and bows have their own benches, and an assembly bench rounds out the workshop. How well you handle each step affects the finished item, and customers notice the result. Their requests can be particular: a blade sized for a tiny hand, something BIG, or an order delivered in riddles.
