A colony beneath Mars

Ares Program is a single-player, 2D colony survival simulation for PC. You lead a small group of survivors underground on Mars, digging through procedurally generated terrain and building a settlement tile by tile. You decide where to excavate, how to connect rooms and pipes, and how to organize resources as the base grows.

Base systems

Oxygen, heat, water and electricity all need managing. Route gases and liquids through pipes, store supplies in tanks and build power networks. Temperature and heat transfer affect the underground environment, while changes of state add another factor to track. Overlays show gases, liquids, temperature, power and sunlight, so you can inspect how resources move through your base and adjust its layout.
