What the game is

Action & Automation is a 2D side-scrolling action-strategy game on PC. You control a Commander on the battlefield while automating resource management with a base that produces and routes materials to pressure the enemy. The gameplay demands balancing direct combat with broader strategic system design, adapting to shifting conditions in each match.

Combat and units

You engage enemies directly while relying on drones, conveyor belts, modules, factories, and AI units to manage resources and facilitate attacks. Your main resource is Nuts, which are physical pickups dropped by trees and defeated foes. You can invest these into enhancing your Commander or expanding your base's capabilities. Combat can involve various tactics, such as positioning for resource collection or deciding whether to strengthen your front-line presence or bolster your war machine.
