Both civilizations bring fresh abilities and unique gameplay mechanics that cater to diverse strategies, particularly in the realm of religion.

Expanding Gameplay with Khmer Civilization

The Khmer civilization is driven by the “Grand Barays” ability that enhances farming and water management. By building Farms next to Aqueducts, players gain a significant food advantage, while also benefiting from additional Faith and Amenities. Under the leadership of Jayavarman VII, players can further extend their territory with the “Monasteries of the King” ability, expanding their strategic options as they establish Holy Sites along rivers.
