Expansion - Crusader Kings II: Jade Dragon

Interacting with the Chinese Empire in Jade Dragon

Crusader Kings II: Jade Dragon introduces a complex web of diplomacy and power dynamics as players engage directly with the might of China. This expansion allows you to form tributary relationships, gain technological advancements, and face the repercussions of defiance. Will you balance flattery, tribute, and military strategy to thrive in the volatile landscape of Transoxiana and India?

The New Tributary System Explained

The Tributary system is one of the standout mechanics in Jade Dragon, giving players new avenues for power and survival. By submitting to the Emperor, you can access crucial resources and support. However, this relationship is not one-sided. Navigating the Emperor's demands while keeping an eye on his waning authority can provide opportunities for those seeking independence.
