Crusader Kings III: By God Alone

Church and crown

Crusader Kings III: By God Alone is a PC expansion for Crusader Kings III, adding religious politics and playable theocracies to its medieval setting. You can rule a landed realm as an archbishop or play as the Pope, managing religious authority alongside secular power. As the Papacy, you gain new resources of power and wealth.

The expansion centers on conflicts between rulers, church authorities and their faith. You can start or settle religious debates, negotiate the limits of crown and Papal authority, and use secular influence to affect church appointments.
