One Thought to Buddhahood

A text-based MUD RPG

一念成佛 is a PC text-based MUD RPG about rebirth through the six realms: human, heaven, asura, animal, hungry ghost, and hell. You enter commands to travel, investigate places, talk to NPCs, answer questions, take on tasks, and fight. Each life has different circumstances, resources, lifespan, and dangers.

Choices across lives

Actions and decisions are recorded in a reincarnation ledger. Good deeds, attachment, greed, relationships, battles, and moments of insight affect attributes such as merit, bad karma, inner demons, attachment, and Buddhist affinity. Those factors shape where you’re reborn. Each life ends with a final choice, and the ledger keeps track of its events and eventual destination.
