We Know the Devil

Welcome to the Surreal World of We Know the Devil

In We Know the Devil, players are thrust into a bizarre summer camp setting where the existential dread of adolescence collides with horror. Set amidst the backdrop of an eerie wilderness, the story unfolds as three teenagers (mean girl Neptune, tomboy Jupiter, and shy Venus) navigate the complexities of friendship and self-discovery. Expect a blend of visual novel storytelling infused with psychological horror as they wait for the devil to visit their lonely cabin.

Dread in a Summer Camp Atmosphere

The game cleverly subverts the usual tropes associated with summer escapades. These characters are not your typical camp-goers; they grapple with their identities while enduring the banalities of adult-driven activities. They sing insipid songs and bide their time, all while secretly hoping the divine doesn’t overhear their inner thoughts. Through a lens of queer youth experiences, We Know the Devil explores both isolation and community in a religious rural setting.
