Build an empire

Wars of Empire is a 2D isometric real-time strategy game about growing a settlement and fighting rival empires. Each match starts with five villagers and a town centre. You develop the economy, expand across the map and advance through the Dark, Feudal, Reform and Imperial ages, unlocking structures as you go.

The game has 67 technologies researched at different buildings. Their effects are concrete: blacksmith upgrades apply in combat, while university research extends defensive tower range. Villagers promote as they work, and named notables join the village over time with permanent bonuses.
