Programming and salvage

WARD/EN is a PC programming and salvage game set aboard wrecked ships. You write instructions for an unmanned drone, dispatch it into a wreck, then review what its limited uplink sends back. You never steer the drone live: its battery is the clock, and a threat patrols the corridors while it follows your plan.

A directive is a project of .warden source files, including a plan and any library modules it uses. You can change the route planner, sensing, responses to contacts and recovery routine. Dispatch freezes the directive, so improving the plan between runs is how you keep a drone from running out of battery inside a wreck.
