Roads and economy

Wainhold is a competitive economic strategy game for PC, built in the style of classic real-time strategy. You establish a settlement by laying roads and flags, placing buildings, and setting priorities. Settlers handle their own work, so you direct the economy rather than ordering individual people around. Once the settlement can support an army, you can use soldiers to push the borders outward.

Goods travel by hand along roads, from flag to flag. Slopes slow carriers, and crowded flags reveal bottlenecks; pack animals can help on busy routes. Production chains include timber and stone, farms, mills and bakeries, mines and smelters, and the tools, weapons and armor workers need. Warehouses hold the stock levels you choose and send surplus goods onward.
