Game premise and setting

VIOLENCE DOLL バイオレンスドール is a PC action game set in a near-future world where humanoid cyborgs, known as “Dolls,” are integrated into daily life. Players assume the role of V.D, an elite Doll investigator working for Division 9 of W.A.N.D., an international organization aimed at combating cross-border crime. The storyline involves V.D navigating a conspiracy entwined with themes of peace and revolution while dealing with various criminal elements.

Combat mechanics

The combat in the game combines real-time 3D action with a close-range hacking system. Players can charge the Hacking Gauge by staying close to enemies, which allows V.D to perform hacking maneuvers. Engaging enemies closely can yield greater rewards, but it also poses risks of counterattacks. Players can alternate between melee attacks, gunfire, arts, and special moves to create combo attacks once hacking is activated. The game also features limitations, such as constrained ammunition for firearms and certain enemies resistant to standard hacking approaches, requiring players to adapt their combat style.
