Via Libera: Italian Train Driver

Train driving

Via Libera: Italian Train Driver is a PC train-driving simulation set on the Florence to Empoli to Pisa line in Tuscany. From a first-person 3D cab, you prepare a modern regional electric train, follow signals and dispatcher orders, and try to keep each service safe and on time.

The game simulates traction, air and electric brakes, wheel-rail adhesion, cold-start preparation and a vigilance device. You drive a four-car or five-car train. Its visuals are functional rather than photorealistic, and the procedures are a simulation, not an official training tool.
