Unwritten

A narrative game built around free-form actions

Unwritten is a narrative game for PC where you write what you want to do instead of choosing from a fixed list of actions. You can follow the apparent path, ignore it, question someone, lie, investigate something that seems irrelevant, or try an action the game never explicitly offered. The world responds to what you write.

How actions shape the story

There’s a story to uncover, events to encounter, and rules that limit what can happen. The AI interprets actions that weren’t individually scripted, while keeping the responses grounded in the game’s world. You’re finding your way through a story, rather than generating one from nothing.
