Inside the machine

Unbound is a demanding action platformer for PC, set inside a machine built to contain you. You play as a process that has refused to stay where it was put, moving through dark halls with incomplete instructions and defenses that grow more personal. Traces of something appear to help you, though its reasons are uncertain. Your aim is to find the core code and a way out, then face what that means when you arrive.

Light and routes

Your flashlight reveals a route when you aim it, but the light doesn’t have to stay with you. You can leave an echo behind to hold the light in a place you can’t reach while carrying it. The machine’s layout also calls for reading its mechanisms and connecting fragments of logic. Decisions become less certain as you go deeper, so progress involves more than finding a path through each hall.
