Trophy Rex is a first-person dinosaur hunting game for PC with the look of a lost PlayStation-era release: low-resolution graphics, chunky polygons, thick fog and bitmap text. You stalk animals across 17 hunting grounds, identify them, take a shot and bring trophies back to your lodge. There are more than 100 species, and a hunt can turn dangerous when a wounded animal charges or a herd stampedes.

Stalking and tracking

Animals react to sight, sound and scent. You can use cover, move slowly and stay downwind, with soft boots, a ghillie suit and scent cover helping you stay unnoticed. Binoculars identify an animal’s species and whether it’s a bull, female or calf, so you can choose what to hunt. Weather such as rain, snow and sandstorms affects visibility for both you and the animals.
