Total Annihilation: Commander Pack

Game overview

Total Annihilation: Commander Pack is a real-time strategy game for PC set in a distant future where two factions, the Core and the Arm, are locked in an ongoing war for survival and dominance. Players manage resources, build armies, and engage in battles across various planets. The game includes both the base game and two expansion packs: The Core Contingency and Battle Tactics.

Factions and conflict

The game's narrative involves a conflict over the transfer of human consciousness into machines, instigating a war that has persisted for 4,000 years. The Core, representing the technologically advanced faction, promotes the idea of "patterning," which allows humans to live indefinitely in mechanical bodies. In contrast, the Arm consists of rebels who refuse to abandon their natural forms. The struggle between these factions drives the game's strategic gameplay.
