Game premise and mechanics

Till Death Descends is a first-person dungeon crawler where players explore hand-drawn floors in search of relics that allow progression to deeper levels. The narrative sets the stage on the last day of summer, where the groom is thrown into a well and the bride is taken below by Death. You begin with bare fists and must earn upgrades for a sword as you navigate various obstacles on each floor.

Combat and weapons

The game's combat system emphasizes fair and lethal mechanics. Enemy attacks are telegraphed at the point of impact, making them predictable and allowing for dodging and parrying. Projectiles do not track the player, which means you must time your dodges effectively. The sword needs to be earned and can be upgraded twice, while players will use stamina for actions such as dashing, sprinting, and charged strikes.
