Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales - PS4

Game description

Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales is a single player role-playing game set in the world of The Witcher. Players engage in narrative-driven exploration and a card battle mechanic, which combines puzzles and strategic decision-making with storytelling. You take on the role of Meve, the queen of Lyria and Rivia, who is a war-veteran facing an impending invasion from Nilfgaard. This prompts her to return to the battlefield, leading to a tale of destruction and revenge.

Card battle mechanics

The card battles in the game are influenced by both your choices and the unfolding narrative. You use a deck of cards that represent units and abilities, and these battles are central to progressing the story. Strategy is key, as players must outwit their opponents using the resources at their disposal, which span various types of units and skills.
