The Somnus Fracture

Sleep treatment

The Somnus Fracture is a PC horror game about Alex Reed, an architect who hasn’t slept properly in months. He signs up for Project Somnus, an experimental treatment at the Umbral Facility, where a machine sends him into a Somnisphere built from pieces of his life. A calm voice guides each session and promises to be there when he wakes, but the facility grows less familiar after every session, and something waits in the dreams.

The Somnispheres include a sunlit garden, Alex’s former office, a town he grew up in but can’t name, a forest lodge and a road in the fog. Between chapters, the dream breaks into areas styled like a console game from 2002, including a dark street, a hedge maze, a forest trail and a roadside service area at night.
