The Returns Desk: A Cozy Library

Sorting the library

The Returns Desk: A Cozy Library is a single-player VR library-sorting game for PC. You work alone in a Victorian rotunda, picking up returned books, reading their covers, carrying them to the right shelves and sliding them into place by hand. There are 864 books across eight wings.

Each book provides the clues for its shelf. Its emblem and color identify a wing, with the shade narrowing the choice; its title gives the row, and its volume number marks a slot from one to nine. Shelf labels help you match the details. Nothing highlights the answer or sorts books for you. Some returns are damaged, so you rub them clean before shelving them.
