Setting and premise
The Reaper -Links Quartz Chapter 2 is a 2.5D side-scrolling action game set on an Earth changed by an invasion from the Demon Realm. Four years ago, its creatures and inhabitants used Mana, an energy unknown to humanity, to devastate civilization.
Mina, a scientist exiled from the Demon Realm, developed a weapon called Links Quartz. With it, humanity fought back and defeated Sero, the King of the Otherworld. The war ended, but the boundary between worlds remained blurred, leaving magic beasts as an ongoing threat.
